Healing soaps – neem, andiroba and copaíba oils

The cold saponification, the cold process, is a simple and easy way to make soap, but it has its drawbacks. The basic formula is: olive / palm kernel / palm / castor – 45/25/25/5 a zero SF, lye concentration of 30% and 7% o/o of medicinal oils. Aroma, Neem – leaf cedar and citronella, Andiroba – citronella, patchouli and petigrain and Copaiba – estageriana Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus

The therapeutic properties of these oils are:  Neeem oil  – antifungus, antibacterial, antiviral and dermatological insecticide
Andiroba oil – anti-inflammatory, healing and antibugs, strengthener of the hair Copaiba Resin Oil – anti-inflammatory, healing, antibacterial

The process used was the Hot Process with Continuous Stirring – HPCS.

    Você adicionou 7% de óleo de neem na água que foi utilizada para fazer a solução de NaOH?
    Fiquei com dúvida na etapa que você adiciona esses 7%.

      Óleo na água, de jeito algum! Isso foi feito por HP e portanto adicionado após a saponificação

        Fiz alguns lotes de cold process e dois rebatch.
        Vou olhar o HP, para fazer esses sabonetes “healing”.
        Gostei bastante do resultado.

  2. Prezado Akira, boa tarde.
    Fiz ontem um batch que há muito tempo queria fazer, essa sua receita com óleo de neem.
    Porém ao invés de usar os 45% de oliva, usei 27% de canola e 18% de soja (acabou minha canola). O resto ficou tudo igual.
    Hoje tirei do molde e ficou bem interessante.
    Li em sites de fora e cheguei até a questionar os usuários de óleo de neem em cold process. Mas eles defendem o uso de neem mesmo em cold process, porém concordo com seu ponto de vista e resolvi seguir a sua recita.
    O que você acha dessa mudança do óleo de oliva para os outros dois, fica bom?

      Canola e soja são óleo poli-insaturados e portanto com tendência à oxidar-se.
      O oliva é monoinsaturado, muito melhor resistência à oxidação e o ácido graxo predominante é o oleico, com melhores propriedades à pele
